Outreach Support

Domestic abuse can affect anyone, regardless of age, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, profession, disability, or economic situation. You may have experienced something for the first time that you suspect is domestic abuse, or you may be in a long-standing abusive relationship. Perhaps you have been abused in the past and still bear the physical and psychological scars, or you want to help a friend or family member who is experiencing abuse.

Not every woman experiencing domestic abuse is ready to leave her home, and sometimes, with our help, safety can be managed without admission to our safe house. We aim to avoid situations where women must choose between their safety and their home. Unfortunately, leaving is sometimes necessary, especially when the safety of women and their children is at risk.

We understand that ending an abusive relationship is complex, and not all our clients are ready or prepared to make that choice. Our Outreach support services provide guidance, advice, education, and both emotional and practical support to empower women to make informed decisions tailored to their desired outcomes.

Our Outreach Service offers support from the moment women contact us. An initial meeting will be arranged to provide much need emotional support as well as exploring any practical support, such as accessing benefits, healthcare, and safe housing. Women can access Outreach no matter their circumstances. We are here to help ALL women, responding to women at all stages of their journey, from preventive measures to reflecting on their experiences and the long-term impacts.

You will have your own support worker who will respond to your individual needs. The support worker will meet you wherever you feel safe and comfortable, whether at a local cafe, or a park.
