Our mission is to protect and empower women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, so they can take control of their lives, enabling them to live free from fear, as well as to engage with and support our Island community to prevent such abuse.
Our Priorities
Ensuring inclusive access to our services and more sustainable outcomes for all our service users seeking safety and or guidance, supported by a broader range of options whether residing in the safe house or the community.
Expanded community engagement, outreach and education to encompass men and minority groups to raise awareness and take a stand against domestic abuse.
Strengthening partnerships and enhancing advocacy by building on the skills, expertise and services of all to effect greater change around social norms to prevent DA.
Ongoing professionalisation through staff wellbeing support, continuous learning, training, data collection and analysis, and research to seek creative solutions.
Good governance, sustainability and oversight led by a diverse, committed team, accompanied by effective fundraising and transparency.
